L'évènement le plus important de ce mois de Février 2008 et sans aucun doute mon inscription au Club-Poker 95 (voir message plus bas). A part ça, le mois de février n'a rien de vraiment exceptionnel.
A part une autre 1ère place dans un 3$+0.25$ 45-players SNG, je me suis assez mal débrouillé dans les SNG dans lesquels je me suis inscrit, et en particulier dans les quelques SNG10$ que j'ai essayé.
D'un autre côté, ça va mieux en cash-game NL/PL (+82.95$ sur le mois). Je fais de plus en plus de multi-table (2 à 4 tables simultannées), principalement en NL10$ (0.05/0.10). Et puisque tout allait bien, j'ai fait pareil en NL25$ ... jusqu'à un joli crash (3 stackoff & -81.50$ en 2 heures). Ouch, ça fait mal. Globalement, le mois se solde par un gain de 47.89€ (+ 6.80€ bonus), qui auraient pu faire beaucoup plus si je n'avais pas joué au dessus de ce que mon bankroll permettait ce jour où j'ai perdu 81$.
En NL10$ (blinds 0.05/0.10$), mes gains "all-time" sont de +119,35$ (sur 58 heures), pour une moyenne de 20 big-blinds/h et un écart type de 83 big-blinds/h.
Mon bankroll n'est pas encore assez étoffé pour pouvoir jouer de manière régulière en NL25$ (blinds 0.10/0.25$) (selon mes critères assez conservateurs), même je m'autorise à faire des essais de temps à autre quand je suis en rush.
Total dépenses : 396.91€. (+30€ sur le mois - inscription ClubPoker95)
Total bankroll : 472.11€ (+54.69€ sur le mois)
Gains cumulés : 422.11€ (+47.89€ sur le mois dont bonus +6.80€)

Un autre tournoi au Club Poker 95
Aujourd'hui, un autre tournoi MTT live au Club Poker 95. Je termine 20ème/58.
J'ai joué assez mal au début du tournoi, et perdu la moitié de mes jetons en 20 minutes (ma table était très short-handed en raison de l'arrivée tardive de plusieurs joueurs, et j'ai adapté en jouant beaucoup trop loose-agressive).
Après une demi-heure de plus, je me suis retrouvé shortstack. Je me suis bagaré avec mon shortstack pendant 2h30 (fold, fold, alllin, fold, allin, fold, fold, fold, allin, ...). Pour finir, alors que j'étais en big blind (blinds 300/600), un très short-stack (1000) fait tapis, et un gars avec un tapis plus petit que le mien call. Avec JTs, je decide de punir le caller, et j'envoie le tapis. C'était idiot, j'aurais du simplement suivre les 400 et essayé de checker jusqu'à la fin. Il a suivi ma relance avec AQ et j'ai perdu quasi tous mes jetons. Avec plus que 100 jetons après avoir mis ma petite-blind, j'ai fait tapis sans regarder mes cartes.

Weekly update

I picked up an easy 10$ bonus on Everest Poker and decided to grind it out. I played NL0.10/0.25$ full ring with 3 to 4 tables. I ran very well for most sessions, but on monday, I got stacked 3 times and lost the money I had won the previous days. Guess I was completly on tilt and more & more furious to be drawn out on. Plus, I guess I'm not ready yet to multitable with 4 tables especially at NL0.25$.
Well, anyway, I won the 10$ bonus, so I'm barely positive for those bonus-whoring sessions. If only I hadn't played some hands like an upper-dupper-calling-station...
Finally I continued to play my 2 tables NL0.05/0.10$ 6max, with results that stay around 0. I haven't played enough hands yet since last update for it to be significant.
Let's go back to grinding ...

Membre de Club Poker 95
Super ! J'ai trouvé un club de poker proche de chez moi ! (http://www.clubpoker95.com/). Ce club a été créé il y a pas très longtemps, et il propose un MTT un fois par mois. Il n'y a pas de buyin (illegal en france). Mise à part quelques fishs, les joueurs sont vraiment bons (comparé à moi tout du moins), et essayent vraiment de bien jouer.
Alors me voilà à mon premier "vrai" MTT live avec des gens qui savent jouer. Je décide de jouer très tight et de changer de rythme progressivement lorsque les blinds commencent à monter. Je veux essayer de finir dans le milieu du peloton si possible.
Je crois que je n'ai pas très bien joué. Je me suis retrouvé shortstack au bout de 2 ou 3 heures, et j'ai choisi le mauvais moment pour partir à tapis (contre un calling station, et sans même regarder mes cartes). Je termine 19ème/29, mais pas trop déçu.
En tout cas, j'ai adoré l'ambiance. Quel plaisir de jouer avec des gens qui ne font pas (pas tous en tout cas) n'importe quoi !

Update of results since last friday.
Played only NL0.05/0.10$ shorthanded.I played mostly 2 tables at the same time and tried 4 tabling for 2 hours. I find it very tough to concentrate on so many tables. I'll have to go back to 2 tables.
I still play too many hands, including some A8-AJ after limpers (most often, I raise) ... that accounts for some of my biggest losses, especially when I flop top-pair, and I get into kicker-problem against passive opponents.The hand I've had the most problems on are the AK. I really gotta learn to let go this hand if I don't hit the flop !
Position stats look not so bad (although still generally too loose, especially in the small blind) : 35/24 on the button ; 24/17 on the cutoff ; 15/12 MP ; 10/8 UTG ; 35/14 SB ; 20/12 BB.

Weekly update

Here is a quick update of my doings since last sunday.
I've played mostly NL0.10$ 6Max or FR, 2 tabling.
My biggest losses (1 Buyin+ each time) where with AK played too strongly with only a K-high flush-draw, and AQ where I hit TPTK, again played for all my stack and got beat by a runner-runner straight.
Also, lost twice with KK (where I managed to put all the money in preflop), but got to AA once and to AK the other time.
And of course, I did lots of donkey play ... and that didn't help my overall score.
Generally speaking, I find it very hard to concentrate of 2 tables at a time, and I make bad plays because of this lack of concentration (like c-betting on a missed/dangerous flop against obvious calling stations).
I also played a MTT freeroll, where I finished 101st/1800 and managed a small win. Finally I played my first 10$ SNG, and finished 5th (I think I played ok, although perhaps I didn't quite push enough on my edge when I was chip-leader and all others were equal stacks).

Analyse Poker Tracker

No poker for the weekend, but I played a bit last friday as I took a day off from work. I managed to finish 1st in the 3$+0.25$ 45players on PS. That's another good push to the bankroll (+38.75$) and a great boost to the ego I also finish quite well in a freeroll donkament (39th out of 1817), but that didn't do too much change on the bankroll.
I'm trying to play those tournaments tight early, loose late. I've found lot's of similarities with what Collin Moshman describes in "Sit'n Go strategy". It's clearly the right way to success.
I've also tried to go through some of my PokerTracker stats, and it shows serious leaks. I play way too loose :
7-10 plr in hand => vpip 26.4%, rpf 12.6%; AF2.1 for 4700hands
5-6 plr in hand => vpip 31%, rpf 15.6%, af2.5 for 850hands
I kinda take position into account as my vpip on/near the button is much higher than that utg or early position. However, I play too much from the small blind (almost 50% vpip in this position !).
I'll have to try playing 2 tables at a time in order to tighten my game without too much dead-time in between played hands. However, I'm a bid afraid that doing this, I'll have less information on my opponents since I'll have to concentrate on twice as many. I also have to let go more from early position & small blind, and to defend less my bigblind.
